About Me
Hi!! My name is Nicholas. I'm a Software Engineer and this is my website.
I build large scale AI applications and cloud solutions. Most of my work happens within the Google Cloud ecosystem where I build generative AI applications. I also spend a lot of time working with Python to handle feature engineering and data quality (supporting ML projects) while developing high performance APIs.
For the past two years I have worked in the AI field developing multi-agent solutions with Generative AI. During this time I have also supported Machine Learning projects to a lesser extent.. Using the Agent Development Kit (ADK), I have built specialized AI agents that automate workflows for the industrial, legal and multimedia sectors. These solutions are currently used by companies with over 1,000 employees. I also develop custom Model Context Protocols (MCP) to ensure AI tools integrate perfectly with a client's specific environment. My background covers a wide range of technologies. I build scalable services with Node.js, TypeScript, .NET and Python. I also develop frontends using React. When it comes to data, I am comfortable working with complex SQL environments like BigQuery, PostgreSQL and SQL Server to optimize query performance.
Over the last seven years since I was a university student in 2019 and began my professional career in 2021 I have built a diverse technical foundation. I have faced everything from building a game in pure Assembly to maintaining legacy systems that are older than I am. These experiences taught me how to solve problems that don't have easy answers. Whether I am working with modern cloud architectures, AI solutions or complex codebases, my goal is always to make complex systems work efficiently.

My main responsibility is developing large-scale artificial intelligence, backend, and cloud solutions, with a focus on the Google Cloud Platform. I frequently develop multi-agent AI solutions using technologies such as the Agent Development Kit. I'm involved in the entire process, from conception and discussions with various clients in the agribusiness, multimedia, bank credit, and pharmaceutical sectors, to testing and deployment in production. CI/CD and monitoring techniques are frequently utilized.
- Development of AI agents for complex operational workflows, integrations with multiple third-party vendor systems, and human-in-the-loop functionalities using the Agent Development Kit (ADK, Python)
- Integrating multiple AI solutions using the A2A protocol.
- Evaluate AI aaplications with metrics like tool trajectory score, response match score and LLM as a Judge resource.
- Performing data quality analysis, identifying inconsistencies, applying cleaning and transformation techniques (EDA) and feature engineering (Python, BigQuery)
- Develop and maintain scalable, high-performance APIs (K8s, Dapr, GKE, NestJS, FastAPI, Node.js, Python, PostgreSQL).
- Hands-on role in large-scale cloud migration projects from AWS to Azure, built on a microservices architecture. These migrations leverage Kubernetes, Helm charts, Dapr, and RabbitMQ. I help implement Dapr to abstract AWS-specific dependencies (such as SQS and SNS) from the application code.
- Load-test critical applications with Python and Locust.
- Implement CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps — automated tests, security checks, container builds, and deployments to GCP (GKE, Cloud Run).

My main responsibilities were the maintenance and development of critical legacy internal legal systems. I had to be quite resilient because many of the systems had been running longer than I had been alive. A lot of logic was still written directly in the database, prior to the existence of concepts like REST or SPA. During my time at GetInfo, skills related to database programming were mandatory.
- Maintained and developed internal legal-process management systems and backend services (.NET, C#, Docker).
- Optimized query performance across a large, complex SQL Server environment from minutes to 1 second using indexing strategies and execution-plan analysis to cut logical/physical reads and lower latency (SQL Server, T-SQL).
- Built frontend features with React and TypeScript.
- Administered Git repositories (GitLab).

Jan 2022 — Feb 2023Buscapets · Academic Project
Academic project leadership. While still a student, I had the opportunity to join an academic project to develop a web system for locating lost animals and facilitating adoption. I was the only student who also possessed real professional experience, so I supported my colleagues, participated in all stages and different development roles, and brought real world development practices to the project.
- Backend development in NestJS and TypeScript, adhering to the framework's standard modular architecture.
- Frontend development in ReactJS and TypeScript, guided by good human-computer interaction practices based on Nielsen's principles.
- Version control administration, approving pull requests, reviewing code, and suggesting changes.
- Application deployment to a server using a CI/CD pipeline in Azure DevOps.
- Execution of unit tests with Jest, as well as load testing using Python and Locust.

My first job. My primary responsibility was building a new internal access-control credential system for events held at Arena das Dunas.
- Developed the frontend of an access-control credential system for events held at Arena das Dunas (React, JavaScript, Docker).
- Maintained legacy frontend projects.
Graduation

Systems Analysis and Development
Federal Institute of Rio Grande do Norte (IFRN)
2019Where it all began. In 2019, I started in the world of technology as a college student at the Federal Institute. That was where I built my knowledge base, tackled algorithm and architecture problems, was taught by highly qualified professors, and participated in software development projects. I learned about Arithmetic Logic Unit (ALU), low-level languages like Assembly and C, high-level languages like Python and Java, the study of algorithms like Dijkstra's, standards like IEEE 754, Git, OOP (Object-Oriented Programming), Data Structures such as Graphs and Red-Black Trees, and other subjects within the technology field. I graduated in 2023 and, above all, I learned to be resilient and to face problems that seemed impossible to solve
